Authenticity in social media can make or break your brand

If you’re really not who you say you are, you’re going to lose a lot of followers. Unline more traditional media – like television, radio or newspapers, some of which actually take pride in being able to con their audience – social media followers are for the most part well aware of traditional media bias. For this reason, denizens of the Twitterverse can usually spot a fake from 140 characters away. Social media users don’t want gimmicks, they don’t want phonies and they certainly don’t want to be pandered to.
